Claiborne & Churchill Wines
Founded in 1983 by former University of Michigan professors Claiborne Thompson and Fredericka Churchill Thompson,
this couple relocated to the Central Coast in 1981 to create dry, delicious white wines like Riesling and Gewurztraminer in its first 565-case crush. Now producing 8,000 cases of wine which also include reds likes Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Port, Claiborne & Churchill varietals have won gold medals at national competitions and beyond. Claiborne & Churchill is open 11am-5pm daily and the tasting fee is $15 (waived with a $30 wine purchase).
