Located on the outskirts of SLO, this unique little winery was founded by Lorenzo Filipponi.
Like a lot of immigrants, Lorenzo transplanted to the Central Coast from Switzerland in the 1900’s to pursue the American dream. He settled on a 300-acre ranch and ran a dairy farm. The barn that hosted the cows is where the Filipponi wine is made today. Its key varietals include Mourvedre, Rhone blends, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and more. Filipponi Ranch is open Thurs-Sun 11am-5pm and its tasting fee is $10.
