Adelaida (Paso Robles)
If your palate gravitates towards Rhone wines (Syrah and Viognier), then you have to check out the family-owned Adelaida Vineyards and Winery.
Located at 5805 Adelaida Road in Paso Robles, Adelaida is perched atop 157 acres of vineyard and situated at 2320 feet above sea level. As the region’s highest vineyards, Adelaida also offers Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre, and Chardonnay.
The tasting room is open daily from 10am-5pm and features a cozy, relaxing atmosphere and generous selections of all kinds of wines for only $10 a pop. The winemakers invite you to come and hang out for a while- maybe bring a picnic to enjoy in Adelaida’s walnut orchard, partake in a vineyard tour, enjoy a hilltop wine tasting, or really dive into the history of Adelaida wines through its educational tasting in the Sensory Room (with cheese and charcuterie included).
Adelaida is open 10am-5pm daily and costs $30 for a hilltop tasting. For more information, visit www.adelaida.com or call 800-676-1232.
