Edna Valley’s history goes deep with its first vineyards planted in the 1800’s when Spanish settlers believed that the Central Coast’s grapes were grown of the highest quality.
However, by the 1970’s most of the original vineyards had disappeared until Jack Niven came in and resurrected the region by planting his own grapes. Now, the Edna Valley Vineyard thrives with its bright expressions of flavorful fruits coupled with the moderate climate that allows for balanced, authentic wines. Edna Valley Vineyard is open Mon-Sun from 10am-5pm and its tasting fee is $15.
