Longtime friends and cyclers got together and created a business that embodies their passion of wine and riding with its hearty varietals and a spirit of cycling.
Producing its first barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Zinfandel in 2004 from Paso Robles vineyards, Peloton then expanded its offerings to include Pinot Noir from Edna Valley and Syrah rom the Arroyo Grande region. Six years after its first crush, Peloton opened a tasting room in Avila Beach close to the ocean in a laidback beach town setting. Peloton Cellars is open Fri & Sat 12pm – 7pm; Sun – Tues 12pm – 5pm; and Weds – Thurs by appointment with a tasting fee of $10.
