Incepted in 2004 by 4 couples (16 people) who also created the Nipomo Wine Group, these passionate investors each brought a unique skill to mold into the common goal of creating great wines.
Calling their creation “Phantom Rivers” after the Central Coast’s famous fog that cools the vineyards at night, the group feels that the unique climate helps to bring out distinctive flavors and complexities into the varietals. Phantom Rivers’ specialties include a Malbec, Meritage, Mourvedre, and dessert wines. Phantom Rivers is open 7 days a week in the summertime and closed Tues-Weds in the winter. Hours of operation vary from 12pm-8pm. Its tasting fee is $10, refundable upon a 2-bottle purchase.
